Time out

No coloring on the table. Hard to be mad when she looks so darn cute in time out though!

New Year, New Rooms

Cora got her big girl bed today!! We had planned to get her a bed for her birthday, but since Daddy leaves that week for work Mommy decided an early birthday present was a good idea. That way Daddy doesn't have to miss out on any of the "joy" of the transition. :) We don't have all the bedding for her yet, but she doesn't seem to care! We continued with the big girl theme and rearranged her shelves, taking out the baby toys and making room for babies, my little pony, and snap dolls (you know, the big girl stuff). Yep, our baby is growing up. Here's what her big girl room looks like so far. Cora isn't the only one who got a room revamp though. We rearranged Beau's room last weekend too. Up until now his dresser has been in his closet, but with the recent influx of toys we decided it was time for it to come out so his toys, games, and puzzles could be more accessible. We moved things around, added a table for him to do projects with small pieces...
Love that Cora couldn't wait to get washed up from supper so she could go play on her new big girl bed!!
Nothing like winter in Minnesota!
Me: Cora! Cora: what?! Me: why is your sock in the toilet? Cora: I don't know...more sock mom (as she goes to her room to put on clean socks)
What more can I say, she's awesome like her auntie!! :)

2012 Here We Come

Happy New Year! We spent New Year's at home this year, party of 4. We ordered pizza, baked the new year a birthday cake and set the clocks ahead 3 hours so the kids could stay up until "midnight". We spent the night playing games. We did take a break so the kids could toast with some sparkling grape juice, and you can tell we drink a little wine around here because when I pulled the bottle out of the fridge Cora ran over to the drawer to get the corkscrew :). At 10 seconds to 9 .... er I mean "midnight" we counted down and broke out the party horns. The really LOUD noise makers was Beaus favorite part...man am I glad we didn't get them out until midnight!!! Not the most exciting of all New Year's Eve parties I'm sure, but it sure seemed like a great way to welcome 2012 to me!
