Johnson Smiles

I keep telling myself that someday I am going to have to tell this face no...is that going to be possible?? We let Beau hang out in the bathroom sink tonight so he could partake in his favorite pastime (admiring himself). It was the perfect little seat.

Beau's first Easter was a good one, I think the Easter Bunny left him 3 different baskets! He stopped last weekend at Grandma Johnson's, then at our house on Easter morning, and another basket was waiting for him at Grandma Daskam's. Seriously, I wonder if the Easter Bunny knows that one lucky little boy is getting Easter treats x3! We colored eggs on Saturday for the Easter Bunny to hide on Sunday morning. This is what an Easter egg "hunt" looks like for a 7 1/2 month old. Beau loved it, he crawled into the living room picking up the eggs, trying to taste each one before we took it away so he wouldn't have an Easter colored mouth. Eventually he found his basket in the middle of the floor and had a great time dumping it out and playing with all the loot. He got the bee movie (for some reason the kid gets a kick out of bees) and we watched it while we were eating breakfast and getting ready to go. Cute show. I am sorry to report that I did NOT win the HGTV dream home. They surprised the winner last night on live TV. (She was from Iowa, but not very excited if you ask me.) I spent the evening peeking out the windows and jumping at every car door I heard, wondering if just maybe it might be the dream home crew ready to ambush me with balloons and a multi million dollar house. I kind of felt like a little kid waiting for Santa Clause. Oh well, there is always next year!! Beau is officially crawling on his hands and knees. He started last Friday night. He was playing on the floor and all of a sudden was taking off on all fours. It looked completely effortless, like he had been doing it all along. Luke and I were both left with our mouths hanging wide open. We knew it was coming soon, but I expected something a little more gradual. One day he was dragging himself around on his belly, barely ever even getting up on all fours, and the next he is crawling around the house like a wild man! I am al...

Beau liked the bull dog on his shirt so much that he decided he would try to look like him. He did a pretty good job, huh? Actually he just got another tooth that poked through this weekend so he has been feeling it with his tounge and making all sorts of funny faces ever since. Beau also pulled himself up for the first time yesterday. We had him sitting in the laundry basket while we were folding laundry, when Luke goes..."look what he just did!" I look up, and sure enough he was standing straight as an arrow with his hands holding onto the laundry basket. I tried to get a picture, but of course as soon as the camera came out he was to busy hamming it up to do doing anything like pulling himself up.

I was informed by my husband that I had better get some blogging done this week...so I guess I better! This weekend was Beau's 7 month birthday...can you believe it...7 months!!! Here is a little bit about our 7 month old little man: -does the "army crawl" everywhere, and recently learned how to get from sitting to crawling position...all he needed was a little prompting with the remote! -favorite toy...well, if the remote counts that would be it, but otherwise it's a little clapper toy -finally eats food, and LOVES it...especially bananas -says mama, dada, and lots of random babble -loves any games involving anticipation -has one tooth -hates to wake up in the mornings (he squints his eyes shut and whines...I feel for ya kid!) -LOVES the mirror, no matter how crabby, a reflection of himself is sure to bring out a smile -has completely rejected the bottle, and will only drink his milk out of a sippy cup Otherwise, not a whole lot going on with us. Our furnace has gone...

I have the world's loudest hiccups, they are uncontrollable and it is impossible to keep my mouth closed (contrary to what my sister may tell you I promise they are in no way fake or exaggerated!) 2.
