WITL Day 4 - Thursday

This morning I woke up with my fuzzy red blanket still wrapped  tight around me and chilly morning air pouring through the open window.  My favorite way to sleep...cool fresh air + cozy blankets.  I hit the snooze until 4:45 and then get ready to run.  Normally I'd have this be my rest day, but tomorrows weather said 100% chance of rain so I figured there's a 100% chance I wouldn't be lacing up in that.  I take Georgia today.  We're back home around 5:40 for coffee on the porch. I wake the kids at 6:30.  Georgia always comes upstairs with me to help.  First is Beau.  The 5 foot teddy bear he begged for and got for Christmas has made a reappearance in his bed.  He slept with that thing for months after he got it.  It was recently moved to the chair in the corner of his room.   He doesn't want to shower since he has practice tonight and will have to shower after that.  Fine.  Sylvie wants to stay in h...

WITL Day 3 - Wednesday

I had my early alarm set on for 4:20 on Wednesday morning.  I run with a friend on Wednesday's and she meets me here at 4:45 instead of my usual 5am.  I still hit the snooze until 4:30 when I remember why my early alarm is set.  At 4:40 Luke sends me a text while I'm in the bathroom brushing my teeth that she's here.  During the run I notice that my ankle is feeling pretty good.  Georgia is bummed she didn't get to go too.  When Luke let her out the back door she ran around front and layed on the porch, just watching. I get home at 5:20 and decide to have coffee out on the porch even though it's still dark and damp.  I'm glad I did.  Again, I just can't get enough of having these doors wide open. At 6:30 I head up to wake the kids up and shower.  I unlock and open the front door on the way up for a daycare kiddo who is coming a few minutes early this morning.  Beau and Sylvie are already awake.  I find Beau laying upsid...

WITL Day 2 - Tuesday

Tuesday starts out with the snooze button again.  Only 30 minutes today though, so I'm making progress.  Luke is working from home this morning so he can take Cora to an orthodontist appointment.  Which means even though I didn't get out of bed until 5am I can still sneak in a run.  I take Georgia with me today.  I just recently started running with her.  I've been using a hands free leash that goes around my waist.  It works well, but right now she's more resistance training than running partner.  I do notice that our time is a little faster today, so hopefully that means she's getting the hang of it.  She did the typical poop a mile in, which means I'm left finishing my run with a swinging bag of dog poop.  I find myself wishing there were more garbage cans placed around town.   My ankle is still a little sore and I know if we run back toward home I'll be tempted to turn right instead of left, ending the run early....
